Guillermo Cotto
Attorney
Guillermo Cotto is an attorney from the Island of Puerto Rico, where he has lived most of his life. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Criminal Investigation from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. During his undergraduate studies, he obtained certifications as a Criminal Investigator and was responsible for organizing the first-ever Criminal Fraud Symposium of the Caribbean, held in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors.
He then attended law school at The Law Faculty of the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, where he participated in the Puerto Rico Innocence Project, representing clients in criminal cases on a pro-bono basis. He was also part of the advanced trial advocacy class and graduated with Cum Laude honors, with a minor concentration in criminal law, criminal procedure, and evidence.
His passion lies in immigration and criminal law, and he is dedicated to fighting for his clients' rights as if they were his own. His interest in immigration law began when he witnessed his best friend's struggle to secure his status in Puerto Rico as a Dominican, inspiring him to work towards making a difference in immigration law.
